The "Moluccas“ or the “Spice Islands” is named after the hundreds of pretty, small islands.

Location

Sprawling in vast from Pulau Halmahera in the north to Pulau Wetar off Timor Leste.

Maluku has the land area of more then 86`000 km2 and a population of 2 millions.

The main religions are Islam and Christian. About half from the population of Central Maluku are Protestant and the other half are Muslims.

In the clear tropical seas are teeming with life. Maluku is near the centre species diversity for the entire Indo Pacific region, and has more species of fish and invertebrate than just about anywhere in the world.

Most of the reefs are pristine wich make snorkelling and scuba diving considerable.
